Yoga Challenge
Founder of Namaste Yoga Zagreb studio and yoga instructor, Jelena Š. Tepša has many years of experience practicing yoga. Through regular practice she recognized the specific benefits of this ancient technique on the physical body and more subtle aspects of life. Because of this, she realized her true life's calling and in 2017 enrolled and completed training and education for a yoga instructor TT 200 RYT at the Yoga School Zagreb with internationally recognized diploma.
In the same school, she continued further education and finished advanced training for a yoga instructor TT 500 RYT. At the same time, Jelena obtained the verification of her yoga instructor diploma recognized by the Ministry of Science and Education, Republic of Croatia. Since then, she has been actively teaching yoga and has experience in working with people, empathy and the will to help others through yoga.
Jelena is a lawyer by profession and has worked as one for many years, more than 10 years, in responsible positions. Sitting in front of the computer for hours every day is something she can easily relate to, as well as the stress and responsibility of such a job and lifestyle. Problems and pain in the back and spine appeared. Along with that, childbirth and motherhood certainly contributed to the progression of pain in the lower back as the body's response to stress. There was also an unenviable lifestyle, fast-paced, with a lack of free time and time for yourself.
Yoga has shown the way, that there is something more, something better, something that can help, that can make everyday life easier and ease the many problems we face. Regardless of whether it is about specific physical problems or whether such a lifestyle reflects unfavorably on the psyche, which leads to anxiety, depression, restlessness, lack of will, meaning, sleep... There is a lot ahead of us, a lot of daily challenges, and a bunch of things that we have to do, and yet so little time left for us to be truly happy, satisfied, and grateful for the little things in life, for everything.
Time spent with the people we love is so precious, but do we really enjoy every moment, are we truly grateful? Or the truth is we are distracted with all the things we still have to do, dissatisfied because we are not changing our environment, we are not changing ourselves.
Through yoga techniques, a person has the opportunity to work on himself. By exercising the body through asanas, we also work on more subtle aspects.
Yoga is so deep that it is impossible to describe all the benefits of practicing this ancient technique. You just have to experience them. And there is no religion here - stand on the mat and do it. It needs to be done, as our teachers would say.
Be grateful that you have the opportunity to practice and work on yourself, many do not have that.
Om shanti shanti shanti…
